    What is Tremella Polysaccharide CAS 9075-53-0?

    Tremella polysaccharide is a polysaccharide obtained from Tremella fuciformis through deep culture. Tremella polysaccharide is an acidic heteropolysaccharide composed of xylose, mannose, fucose, glucose, glucuronic acid, etc., with a sugar content of over 75%. In addition to the polysaccharide, the preparation also contains a white powder containing spores. Tremella polysaccharide is soluble in hot water but insoluble in alcohols, ethers, and other organic solvents.

    Features

    1. Appearance and Form: The pure product is a white or pale yellow amorphous powder, odorless and non-irritating, with good flowability, easily mixed with other raw materials, and does not affect the appearance of the final product (such as the color and texture of cosmetics and food).
    2. Excellent Solubility: Tremella polysaccharide is extremely soluble in water, forming a transparent, viscous colloidal solution; it is insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether; the viscosity of the aqueous solution increases significantly with increasing concentration and remains stable over a wide temperature range (4~80℃), making it suitable for various aqueous phase formulations.
    3. Molecular Weight and Structural Characteristics: Tremella polysaccharide has a wide molecular weight range (10⁴~10⁶ Da), mainly composed of monosaccharides such as glucose, mannose, xylose, and fucose, containing a large number of hydroxyl groups (-OH), which can bind to water molecules through hydrogen bonds. Tremella polysaccharide also possesses good film-forming and adsorption properties.‌‌‌‌
